The film superstar took to social media\u00a0Friday to announce that his upcoming DC film had indeed wrapped, but also to open up a bit about the brutal production.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Black Adam<\/em>\u00a0antihero star was responding to another tweet from a fan account that featured a video of Johnson thanking the crew for all their efforts and saying how excited he was for fans to see the picture.<\/p>\n

Black Adam<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 which also stars\u00a0Noah Centineo<\/a>,\u00a0Aldis Hodge<\/a>,\u00a0Sarah Shahi<\/a>, Quintessa Swindell and\u00a0Pierce Brosnan<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 is now the second New Line\/DC film following 2019\u2019s hit\u00a0Shazam!\u00a0<\/em>That hero\u00a0is archrivals with Black Adam.<\/p>\n

Like most projects, production on\u00a0Black Adam<\/em>\u00a0was delayed amid the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions are producing with Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo. FlynnPictureCo\u2019s Scott Sheldon is serving as executive producer.<\/p>\n

Black Adam<\/em>\u00a0is due in theaters July 29, 2022.<\/p>\n
