Mayra Veronica, an ex-girlfriend of Sam Asghari, believes the fitness influencer \u201chit the jackpot\u201d with his\u00a0engagement to pop star Britney Spears.<\/a><\/p>\n

Veronica was sure to clarify, however, that she doesn\u2019t mean financially.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe finally hit the jackpot!\u201d she said with a giggle\u00a0to TMZ.<\/a>\u00a0\u201cShe hit the jackpot too, though. He\u2019s extremely supportive, he\u2019s a really, really supportive guy, and after all the s\u2013t she\u2019s been through, that\u2019s what she needs.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel very happy for them,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

When ask if she believes Asghari is with Spears\u00a0for the right reasons<\/a>, she went on to call the actor a \u201creally sweet guy\u201d who was always supportive of her during their relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think she\u2019s with the right guy,\u201d she told TMZ, going on to say she hopes their relationship will last in the land of fleeting romances.<\/p>\n

\u201cHollywood, it\u2019s so hard to tell, but he\u2019s such a charming, sweet guy that I really hope so for her sake. She\u2019s been through enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also commented on\u00a0the engagement ring Asghari chose\u00a0<\/a>for his wife-to-be, saying \u201cIt\u2019s good! It\u2019s whatever that goes with their style.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair of exes dated in 2015, one year before Asghari met Spears while appearing as her love interest in her \u201cSlumber Party\u201d music video.<\/p>\n

Asghari proposed to the \u201cToxic\u201d artist last weekend. The couple confirmed the news on Instagram Sunday, with the pop star\u00a0sharing a video\u00a0of herself smiling while showing off her rock next to her new fianc\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Spears was previously married to Kevin Federline \u2014 the father of her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, both 15 \u2014 from 2004 to 2007. She also had a brief union with her childhood pal Jason Alexander for just 55 hours earlier in 2004.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
