.Katy Perry seems to be standing by the
olive branch she sent her former nemesis,
Taylor Swift, ahead of her Reputation tour kickoff this spring.
At the amfAR gala on Thursday, Oct. 18,
Variety asked Katy how she felt about Taylor’s sudden
willingness to speak out about politics.
“She’s setting a great example,” Katy told the magazine. In addition to talking about the
importance of voting with fans, Taylor recently threw her support behind
Tennessee’s Democratic candidate for Senate, Phil Bredesen, and Democrat Jim Cooper
for the House.
Katy was among the first of Taylor’s followers to like her post, according to JustJared.
