Katherine Schwarzenegger praises her ‘supportive’ family after the death of her cousin, Saoirse Kennedy Hill

Katherine Schwarzenegger and her family began the summer by coming together for her wedding to Chris Pratt. Sadly, their August reunion was sparked by the death of Katherine’s 22-year-old cousin, Saoirse Kennedy Hill, who was laid to rest this week after an apparent overdose at the Kennedy compound. Katherine, 29, shared a moving message on Instagram one day after the service in which she praised her relatives for maintaining such strong bonds between them. “After wiping away the tears, after the beautiful sunsets, there is always a new day,” Katherine wrote, posting a photo of a sunset. “It’s not the big events or pretty things that hold you up at the end of the day, it’s family,” she continued. “I feel so incredibly blessed to be part of such a loving, supportive and strong family that shows up in good times and in tough times. I love each and every one of them and am so grateful to have them in my life. 🙏♥️🙏.” Saoirse was reportedly open about her struggles with depression over the course of her young life, having written about her experiences with the disease while studying at Deerfield Academy.
