Jennifer Aniston Admits She’s ‘Come So Close’ To Getting Another Dog After Losing Beloved German Shepherd Dolly In July
Jennifer Aniston said goodbye to a dear friend this summer: her German Shepherd, Dolly, which she shared with ex-husband Justin Theroux.
Speaking with People, Aniston admits she’s considered getting another dog, but hasn’t been able to actually go through with it.
“Oh God, I’ve come so close [to getting another],” Aniston says in new new issue, in which as she and three other stars are celebrated as the magazine’s People of the Year.
“And my friend Ellen DeGeneres, as you know, loves nothing more than to bombard me with extremely heartbreaking photographs of animals that need homes,” she added. “And by the way, if I could have a llama, a pig, an alpaca, sheep, goats, I would. But I have to be very sensitive to [her other dogs] Clyde and Sophie, because it’s all about whether they are going to be happy.”
During the summer, Theroux shared some heartbreaking photos of himself and Aniston as they say goodbye to their beloved pet.
“Tonight, at sunset, after a heroic struggle … our most loyal family member and protector, Dolly A. laid down her sword and shield. 🐺💔,” Theroux wrote in the caption. “She was surrounded by her entire family.”
