Gwyneth Paltrow defends unorthodox living situation with Brad Falchuk: ‘Haters are irrelevant’
In true Gwyneth Paltrow fashion, she’s taking a unique approach to married life with new husband Brad Falchuk.
Falchuk, a TV producer known for “Glee” and “American Horror Story,” has his own house near Paltrow’s, where he sleeps three nights a week. The other four nights, he stays at the Goop founder’s place.
“All my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal and we shouldn’t change a thing,” Paltrow recently told The Sunday TImes of London, crediting her intimacy teacher with the idea to keep their relationship “fresh.”
Paltrow and her “crazytown handsome” husband, as she puts it, married in a private, star-studded ceremony last September after getting engaged in January. According to multiple reports, Robert Downey Jr. (her “Iron Man” co-star), Cameron Diaz, Jerry Seinfeld, Steven Spielberg and Rob Lowe attended.
In another interesting Paltrow-ian move, the newlyweds opted for a “modern honeymoon” vacation over the holidays. Not only did she and Falchuk each bring their two respective children, Paltrow’s ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, tagged along, too.
The actress split from Martin in March 2014 after 10 years of marriage and two kids – Apple, 15, and Moses, 13. (Remember that infamous “conscious uncoupling” announcement?) They finalized their divorce in July 2016.
“Chris is family and Brad and he, they’re like, totally friends,” Paltrow told The Times, adding that she “adores” Martin’s new girlfriend, “Fifty Shades of Grey” actress Dakota Johnson.
And those who disagree with Paltrow’s lifestyle?
“I don’t care about the haters,” she said. “Haters are irrelevant to me. It’s like Brené Brown says: I’m not making this work for people who aren’t in the arena. Haters don’t mean anything to me because they are not my people.”
