Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are back together, reports OK!. The outlet reveals the actress issued a “marriage and rehab ultimatum” that led to their reconciliation.
Affleck is currently back in treatment for alcoholism, and the publication’s source explains that when Garner staged an intervention, “she promised him if he gets sober they’ll renew their vows in a private, yet romantic, ceremony and become a family again.” The tipster admits, “[Jen] can’t let go,” and has “always wanted to stick it out” because she “loves him and feels she owes it to her kids to make things work with their dad.”
For Affleck, Garner’s promise was “just the motivation” he needed, with the insider sharing, “Ben realized that he’s no good on his own and that he wants his old life back. He wants to be with Jen.” The magazine’s source adds, “Ben wants to be a family again and is thrilled that Jen agrees… He’s telling friends he finally got his wife back.”
But Affleck doesn’t have Garner “back.” The estranged spouses have actually finalized their divorce settlement, and are waiting until he finishes rehab to sign it. His decision to seek treatment has nothing to do with the stars reuniting romantically. In fact, a Garner confidante tells Gossip Cop this cover story is full of “lies.” The tabloid also lied when it claimed Garner was pregnant with Affleck’s baby this past Apriland in 2017.
