Prosecutors have chosen to drop charges against Mac Miller related to his May DUI case. The rapper, who died last week of an apparent overdose, was scheduled for an arraignment on Tuesday, Sept. 11, to face two counts of driving under the influence. TMZ reports the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office is now dropping the charges. “I made a stupid mistake,” Mac said in an interview about the car accident in July. “I’m a human being. But it was the best thing that could have happened.” His statement left fans and loved ones hoping he’d use the incident as inspiration to get more help with the substance abuse and depression issues he wrestled with.
