Jimmy Kimmel’s concern for child healthcare in America extends way beyond the health of his son, who has undergone multiple heart surgeries since his birth. Over the weekend, the late night host helped raise a record-breaking $1.5 million to support childhood cancer research through L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a charity event started by 4-year-old cancer patient Alex Scott. Part of Jimmy’s contribution included an auction package in which the highest bidder could bring pals to Jimmy’s barn for a star chef-prepared dinner series, according to Page Six. The package ended up raising $300,000 for the cause. Other celebs who came out to support the event included Jason Bateman, Giada De Laurentiis, Timothy Olyphant and Rebecca Metz.
