Adele made more than $30k a day last year without touring or releasing new music
If her track record is any indication, Santa’s likely to be good to Adele come Christmas 2019.
That’s when her first new album in three years is expected to be released.
The Sun reports that even without having toured or unveiled new music last year,
the singer still made more than $11.2 million in profits after taxes in 2017.
That works out to a cool $31,320 a day — not a bad take-home amount for chilling
at home with her 6-year-old son (and rocking out to Beyonce) while album
sales and royalties do the rest! In June, The Sun reported Adele planned to
spend most of the summer in the U.K. working on new music.
And while her first three albums were all named in honor of meaningful age milestones
, she told James Corden in 2016 that “25” would be the last album named after an age.
“I believe in trilogies, yeah,” she said at the time. “The next one is just gonna be ‘Adele.'”
