Prince’s estate just got a massive financial boon, courtesy of Eye Records. TMZ reports the judge handling the lawsuit the estate filed against Eye for its alleged bootlegging activities has issued a default judgment ordering Eye to immediately cease selling bootlegged copies of Prince’s performances and unreleased tracks. The judge also ordered Eye to fork over $7 million to the estate, which claimed Eye released 18 Prince compilations without his consent in the wake of the music icon’s death. According to TMZ, Eye moved swiftly to follow the judge’s orders and has already taken the music offline.
