Lana Del Rey tops poll for ‘No Time To Die’ title song
The singer took 28% of the vote, with Hozier the closest to her at 19%.
Lana Del Rey topped a recent poll of entertainment.ie readers as the singer for the upcoming Bond movie, ‘No Time To Die’.
The poll saw reader asked who should sing the title track for the 25th Bond movie, with nine potential choices. Robyn, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Hozier, Lorde, Billie Eilish, Janelle Monae, Lil Nas X (yes, fine, that was a joke one) and Hozier were in contention, but Lana Del Rey took 28% of the vote.
Hozier was the next closest, taking 19% of the vote. Surprisingly, Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa were in joint third place, with 13% of the vote of each. The lowest scoring was – you guessed it – Lil Nas X, who only received 2% of the vote. He’s probably too busy doing another remix of ‘Old Town Road’, anyway.
So far, Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran are both rumoured to be in contention, with Sheeran admitting on numerous occasions that he’s had a Bond song written for years.
As of yet, no singer has been announced for ‘No Time To Die’, however production officially ended on the movie just this weekend so there’s probably a while to go before the singer and song are made public.
