John Witherspoon’s cause of death was officially coronary heart disease. TMZ reports the “Friday” star, who died Oct. 29 at his home following a heart attack, also suffered hypertension. In an announcement about the sad news, his family described John as one of the “hardest working men in show business,” and “a Legend in the entertainment industry.” He was 77.
