The Pussycat Dolls are officially back!
Nicole Scherzinger took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a photo of a black heart with the girl group’s name written in pink and white.
“#PCDReunion 💖, the singer wrote alongside the post, giving no further explanation or details. PCD member Kimberly Wyatt also posted the same photo and caption, as did Ashley Roberts and Jessica Sutta. Carmit Bachar hasn’t posted the photo, but does have the same sparkly black background on her social media pages, but did confirm to ET that she is returning to the group. Melody Thornton has yet to comment at the time of publishing.
Rumors of a reunion had been circulating for months. Scherzinger stopped by ET Live in October, where she played coy while addressing rumors that the girl group was getting back together.
“Well, I hear about this every day,” she joked. “You know, it’s crazy, because … I am doing three shows right now, all at the same time. So I’m really focused on that.”
“I wouldn’t rule it out,” she continued, “because I love my girls and I loved my time with them. I wouldn’t rule it out but I can’t confirm anything right now. There’s a little nugget, guys! Do whatever you want with it.”
A source told ET in September that the popular girl group had “already been in the studio together recording.”
Back in 1995, choreographer Robin Antin founded the popular burlesque troupe in Los Angeles. PCD then morphed into a musical act when Antin negotiated a deal with Interscope Geffen A&M Records in 2003. PCD has released a number of hits over the years, including “Don’t Cha,” “Buttons” and “When I Grow Up,” before disbanding in 2009.
