Jason Priestley Reacts To The Rumors That ‘BH90210’ Will Be Picked Up By Another Network Following Its Cancellation By Fox
Jason Priestley revealed if BH90210 has any chances of coming back for a second season on another network! Sadly for the diehard fans, the actor made it clear that they should not hold their breaths!
While in attendance at KIIS FM’S iHeartRadio Jingle Ball, Jason chatted with ET and was, of course, asked about the show’s future amid rumors that another network or streaming service might pick up Beverly Hills, 90210.
As you may know, the reunion series was previously cancelled by Fox after only one season.
Priestley did not hesitate to share his opinion that ‘I don’t think that’s going to happen. Unfortunately, it’s not the first TV series I’ve been on that’s been canceled, and it probably won’t be the last.’
The announcement made by Fox last month that the show would not come back was apparently unexpected as Priestley told the news outlet that ‘We certainly set the show up to continue. Unfortunately, it just didn’t come to pass. But we certainly had our fun making the episodes, and it was nice to work with that group of people again. I guess it was what it was.’
As for the actor’s appearance at the Jingle Ball, he was in attendance with his wife Naomi and daughter Ava and a friend of the 12 year old’s.
The pre-teen was asked how it felt to watch her dad on the show and she revealed that she thought it was weird how girls her age used to love him at the time.
Asked if she’d like to follow in his footsteps, Ava made it clear that she’s always wanted to be an actress and that is still her dream.
Her dad’s reaction to that response? – ‘Stay in school, kids.’
