The Olsen twins were not invited to appear on the final season of ‘Fuller House’
Turns out there was never much of a chance Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen would reprise their role as Michelle Tanner on the final season of “Fuller House.” According to E! News, Candace Cameron Bure recently told TVLine the team “did not reach out to” the twins about getting involved. “It was very clear several seasons ago that they did not want to do it,” she explained. The sisters did, however, tell Women’s Wear Daily back in 2015 when the series was announced that they wanted more information about it from the show’s creators. They also said at the time that they’d get in touch with John Stamos and Bob Saget to find out why they weren’t in the loop; John later said he “was told they were asked” and that when they “got upset” he called Mary-Kate to discuss the plan for the show. He said at the time he told the twins he’d “love for them to be on there and they decided not to.”
