Lily Collins is engaged to filmmaker Charlie McDowell.
The Hollywood star and daughter of Brit musician Phil Collins announced the happy news on Friday via Instagram alongside photos of the proposal.
“I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together…” she captioned the snaps, which included the pair kissing, McDowell down on one knee and a close-up of her stunning engagement ring.
McDowell also announced the news on his social media, with a photo of his new fiancée holding up her ring.
“In a time of uncertainty and darkness you have illuminated my life. I will forever cherish my adventure with you. 💍🎉” he wrote alongside the photo.
The actress — who is set to helm new Netflix show “Emily in Paris” — is marrying into showbiz royalty as McDowell is the son of Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen, while his stepfather is Ted Danson.
The couple have been dating for more than a year.
