Chrissy Teigen has honored her late son Jack in a heartwarming way.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Teigen posted a photo of a “Jack” tattoo written in script on her wrist, weeks after announcing her pregnancy loss. The ink is near her tattoo tributes to husband John Legend and their two children, daughter Luna, 4, and son Miles, 2.
Teigen, 34, who had been expecting her third child with Legend, 41, confirmed the loss of their son in early October.
“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough,” Teigen posted to Instagram at the time.
“We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever,” she continued.
Last week, Teigen thanked fans for their support in a lengthy essay posted to Medium.
“Notes have flooded in and have each been read with our own teary eyes,” Teigen wrote. “Social media messages from strangers have consumed my days, most starting with, ‘you probably won’t read this, but…’. I can assure you, I did.”
