Lauren Burnham defends Christmas tree shopping with Arie Luyendyk after COVID-19 diagnosis.
Not even COVID-19 could stop Lauren Burnham and Arie Luyendyk Jr. from getting into the holiday spirit.
Burnham, 29, and Luyendyk, 39, went Christmas shopping with their daughter Alessi, 1, on Sunday, per her Instagram Story (via Us Weekly).
A concerned follower responded with, “Doesn’t Arie have COVID? Why are you out and about?” but Burnham replied that he had recently tested negative for the virus.
“Arie’s quarantine period is over per CDC guidelines and doctor advice,” she responded. “He even got a negative test before rejoining Alessi and I in the house to make me feel more comfortable even though that’s not necessary according to the CDC. He’s cleared!”
Luyendyk revealed last week that he was isolating himself from Burnham and their daughter after testing positive for coronavirus.
“Many of you have been wondering why we haven’t done ‘Bachelor Brunch,’ why we’ve been so absent on social media, and why I’m sitting, like, 25 feet away from the girls,” the 39-year-old racing car driver said on his Instagram Stories on Thanksgiving. “It’s actually because I tested positive for COVID.”
