Like a lot of us, Jenna Dewan spent her birthday at home this year.
The “Flirty Dancing” host celebrated her big 4-0 Thursday and spoke with “The Talk” Monday about how she marked the occasion over the weekend.
“It was a big milestone birthday for me,” Dewan said. “So I turned 40. Under any other time, I would have had some big bash blowout. And because of, you know, Covid and 2020, we just stayed in the house.
“We had such a great day though,” she continued. “My kids were here. Evie made me a cake, a coupon book. It’s so funny though, it’s a non-refundable coupon book. I can only use these coupons once.”
Asked by host Sheryl Underwood how she feels on the other side of 40, Dewan said, “I feel proud of myself in a sense, of accomplishing and overcoming what I’ve gone through up until this point in my life.
“And I feel excited about this next chapter,” she added. “And you know, it’s a good feeling. It was really nice to just be in the house and enjoy the moment.”
Dewan and fiancé Steve Kazee, 45, welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Callum Michael Rebel, in March. The couple got engaged in February. Dewan shares daughter Evie — short for Everly Elizabeth Maiselle — with her ex-husband, Channing Tatum.
