Normal People” star Daisy Edgar-Jones has split from boyfriend Tom Varey after her career has skyrocketed.
We can exclusively reveal that the actress called time on her two-year relationship with the actor late last year to focus on work.
Daisy — who played Marianne in the hit BBC3 show — met Tom on film “Pond Life” in 2018.
The pair lived together in the capital during lockdown, but she moved out a few months ago and is now staying at her parent’s house in North London.
An insider tells us: “They got on really well during lockdown last year, but they’re both young and passionate about following their careers.
“Daisy has been inundated with opportunities and feels she has to put them first, Tom’s also really dedicated to his acting and wants the best for both of them.
“They were sad they couldn’t make it work, but are still close and there’s no hard feelings.”
Daisy — whose sizzling chemistry with “Normal People” co-star Paul Mescal wowed viewers — is currently filming thriller “Fresh.”
Tom is filming BBC1’s neo-Nazi drama “Ridley Road.” Daisy recently revealed how losing out on acting roles helped prepare her for dating.
She said: “The nice thing about being an actor is it sets you up for dating life, because you’re being rejected all the time.”
Somehow we don’t think Daisy will be short of offers — dates or acting parts — this time around.
