Katharine McPhee and David Foster gave paps their first peek at baby boy Rennie David Foster Thursday as the family enjoyed a birthday brunch in Beverly Hills.
McPhee, who welcomed her first child with Foster in late February, kept her son close to the chest in his baby carrier as the trio dined outdoors at the Maybourne Hotel with a select group of friends in celebration of McPhee’s 37th birthday.
The “American Idol” alum was also spotted planting kisses on her pride and joy throughout the meal.
The singer wore a colorful Hale Bob floral mini dress and cardigan while 71-year-old Foster rocked a pair of distressed denim jeans and a pale blue button down shirt.
McPhee revealed their son’s name just last week — a move that “annoyed” Foster — sharing that the newborn was named after the musician’s great-grandfather and great-uncle.
“We had a couple names, but my husband was on a text chain with his sisters and one of his sisters suggested an old family name,” she said during an interview for “Today With Hoda & Jenna.”
Foster and McPhee were first linked in 2017 and made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala a year later. In July 2018, the couple got engaged while vacationing on the Italian island of Capri.
McPhee was previously married to Nick Cokas, while this is Foster’s fifth marriage. He was previously married to B.J. Cook, Rebecca Dyer, Linda Thompson, and most recently, Yolanda Hadid. The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star filed for divorce in January 2016.
Foster also has five daughters from his previous relationships.
