Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell celebrated their baby girl’s one-week birthday by sharing new photos of her.
Irwin, the 22-year-old daughter of late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, posted a pair of Instagram pics on Thursday showing daughter Grace Warrior swaddled and sleeping.
“Our perfect Grace Warrior is one week old. This week has been filled with sweet snuggles and infinite love,” Irwin wrote alongside the snapshots.
Powell, a 24-year-old professional wakeboarder, also shared a family photo on his page and wrote, “One week as a family of 3❤️ My two beautiful girls make every day perfect.”
Last week, Irwin announced the birth of the couple’s first child, revealing she named the infant after her late father, who was tragically killed in a stingray attack in 2006.
“Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light,” Irwin shared on social media. “Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior.”
The little girl’s first name, Grace, is a nod to Irwin’s great-grandmother, as well as relatives on Powell’s side of the family “dating back to the 1700s,” Irwin said.
Making Grace’s birthdate even more special, March 25, 2021 was also her parents’ first wedding anniversary. The couple tied the knot a year ago in an intimate ceremony with immediate family only because of the pandemic.
“She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed,” Irwin wrote upon announcing the birth of her daughter.
