They kept their brief secret romance under wraps for years.
But on Sunday night’s episode of The Voice, coaches Guy Sebastian and Delta Goodrem shared how close they really were once upon a time.
While these days Guy is happily married to stylist Jules Sebastian, and Delta is loved-up with rocker boyfriend Matthew Copley, it seems it was a different story in their younger years.
Guy revealed he and Delta met at the ARIAs 16 years ago and their connection was instant.
“She was so sweet and we just hit it off straight away and became really good mates,” the Battle Scars singer dished.
He then joked about how the pair’s relationship took a romantic turn.
“She romantically chased me for a very long time. After repeated rejection, I caved in finally for just a little while,” he said, before laughing: “Is that the story she tells?”
The Wings songstress appeared to recall the experience a little differently, however.
“Guy and I used to watch Harry Potter together when were 17 years old and hold hands occasionally,” she spilled.
Shedding more light on their teenage dalliance, Delta divulged some of Guy’s less-than-romantic actions and hinted there are more details to the relationship than is known publicly.
“I haven’t brought up the time he vomited in my garden from like drinking too much,” she laughed.
“I haven’t brought up any of that stuff. I might have to wait until later in the Lives to really bring up some stuff I’d like to…”
