William Shatner and his wife Elizabeth have reportedly called it quits.
According to TMZ, the “Star Trek” icon, 88, filed for divorce from his wife of 18 years on Tuesday. As the outlet noted, the pair, who wed in 2001, signed a prenup and have no children together.
A source told the TMZ that the Shatners are still negotiating the financial terms and that the divorce papers could soon be submitted for a final signature from a judge.
The Blast confirms the divorce petition was filed Tuesday, with the star citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup.
Shatner and Elizabeth’s split will be the Canadian-born actor’s third divorce. He was previously married to Nerine Kidd, who tragically died in 1999 after drowning in their pool. He was also divorced from his ex-wives Marcy Lafferty and Gloria Rand.
He has three children, Leslie, 61, Lisabeth, 59, and Melanie, 55, with Rand.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth was previously married to Michael Glenn Martin.
