Listen up Starbucks addicts, because we have a super important PSA coming your way. This Friday, the almighty coffee chain is going to be giving away FREE iced tea to customers, making basically all of our caffeine-laden, ice tea dreams come truuuuue.
There is a catch, though — because there’s no such thing as a FREE Starbucks iced tea (even though there should be). You have to get to your local Starbucks between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. local time in order to score a free drink, and that is totally fine. It means we can finally put those running shoes we’ve stored under our desk to some good use. If running’s not your thing, it’s also a good excuse to get up and stretch your legs during the workday. However you get to Starbucks, get to Starbucks.
Also important to note — the flavors being offered on Friday will be Shaken Iced Pineapple Black Tea Infusion, Shaken Iced Strawberry Green Tea Infusion and Shaken Iced Peach Citrus Tea Infusion. They are all made steeped fruit and botanical blends…yum, yum, yummmm.
Freebie pro-tip: Decide what you want NOW and you’ll be way ahead of alllll your co-workers when you guys get to the front of the line.
If you can’t make it in time for this hour-long giveaway (and we know, it’s only an hour and it might be tough to move your entire day around for some free iced tea), be still your caffeine-loving heart. The new tea infusions will be available at participating Starbucks from July 11th onwards — so you’re not missing out too much.
Hopefully this is a nice, gentle reminder to the rest of the stores in our lives to BRING ON the summer of free goodies, please. We’ll be patiently sipping our iced teas, waiting.
