Natalie Portman was photographed stepping out in Sydney Thursday with a seeming baby bump.
Portman, 39, is in Australia filming “Thor: Love and Thunder” with Disney/Marvel mainstay Chris Hemsworth. Wearing a baseball and de rigeur mask, she appeared ready for the gym in a blue tank top and leggings.
While it does seem unusual for Portman to be in the family way while shooting such a presumably action-heavy role, it would not be unheard of for the film to work around her. By way of a for instance: Gal Gadot did reshoots for “Wonder Woman” while five months pregnant; her costume was fitted with a green insert, which was then CGI’ed out in post-production.
Set photos purportedly from “Love and Thunder” were seen on Twitter this week, though Portman is on horseback in the lone snap of her from the set and wearing a baggy hoodie, which either strengthens the case for a concealed pregnancy or side-steps it entirely. (It’s possible it was cold that day.)
The possible child would be Portman’s third with husband Benjamin Millepied, who she met while filming “Black Swan” in 2009. They welcomed a son, Aleph, in 2011, and a daughter, Amalia, in 2017.
It was announced in July 2019 that Portman’s character in the “Thor” franchise, Jane Foster, would be picking up the hammer in “Love and Thunder,” based on the comic storyline “the Mighty Thor” by Jason Aron.
Reps didn’t comment.
