Akram Tamer (Ekrem Tamer) has joined the cast of Medyapım’s upcoming series “The Underground” (Yeraltı), which is being produced for NOW.
Directed by Murat Öztürk (Murat Öztürk) and written by Berna Aruz (Berna Aruz), the series is scheduled to begin filming in early September 2026. Tamer becomes the latest addition to the cast following İsmail Hacıoğlu (İsmail Hacıoğlu), Şükran Ovalı (Şükran Ovalı) and Azra Aksu (Azra Aksu).
According to the published information, Tamer will portray the father of the character played by İsmail Hacıoğlu. His role will therefore be directly connected to one of the central characters in the series.
“The Underground” also stars Denizcan Aktaş (Denizcan Aktaş) and Uraz Kaygılaroğlu (Uraz Kaygılaroğlu). Production is expected to get underway in early September, with the newly announced cast member joining the project ahead of the start of filming.
