Nicole Scherzinger And Lauren Silverman Comfort Simon Cowell As He Breaks Down On ‘X-Factor U.K’

Simon Cowell’s traditionally tough exterior has changed a lot since he welcomed his first child in 2014 and it was very evident during Saturday’s “X-Factor” finale.

A clip of the “X-Factor: Celebrity Charity Single” was aired of the contestants Max and Harvey, Jenny Ryan, V5 and Megan McKenna singing Snow Patrol’s “Run”.

When asked what it meant to Cowell to have the proceeds going towards Together For Short Lives and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, Cowell couldn’t respond as he broke down in tears.

Fellow judge Nicole Scherzinger rubbed Cowell’s arm and his long-time partner Lauren Silverman rushed over to give him a hug.

The rest of the show was on a more happy note as host Dermot O’Leary turned to announce the winner of this season’s “X-Factor”.

Meghan McKenna, who previously starred on “The Only Way Is Essex”, took home the grand prize.
