Jason Kennedy and Lauren Scruggs are hoping to become parents in 2021.
The E! host, 39, revealed that Scruggs, 32, is undergoing IVF treatments in an Instagram video on Sunday.
“Well, it’s day one of our IVF journey. I’m very excited,” he said while sitting in the car with his dog. “Lo’s upstairs. Benny’s on duty. COVID — can’t go upstairs to be with her.”
He explained to fans what IVF means and teased, “Could have twins. Could have more than twins. Could have one. Might not even have one.”
Scruggs then gave an update on her appointment when she returned to the car, explaining, “I had a cyst, which means a follicle that didn’t release in the last period, so I have to take birth control for one month to regulate my ovaries.”
Kennedy and Scruggs tied the knot in 2014.
Kennedy’s former co-anchor Giuliana Rancic commented on the video, “Love you both ❤️ Bill and I are here for you and sending love, prayers and support every step of the way ❤️🙏❤️.”
Rancic, 46, and her husband, Bill Rancic, welcomed their son Duke in 2012 via surrogate after going through several rounds of failed IVF.
