Taylor Swift is an open book when it comes to her songs, and her relationships are definitely on the table. So it’s not surprising that her current beau Joe Alwyn is one of the inspirations behind her latest studio album, Lover.
Although Alwyn likes to keep under wraps for the most part — “I turn everything else down a dial. I don’t have any interest in tabloids,” he told U.K.’s The Sunday Times in an interview today (Dec. 20) — he’s not bothered by his girlfriend’s highly successful, still undisclosed mentioning of him.
“No, not at all. No. It’s flattering,” he answered.
What could be irksome for the 28-year-old British actor is all of the media narratives about their relationship, whether they’re true or false, but he usually shakes it off.
“I just don’t pay attention to what I don’t want to pay attention to,” he said. But he’s been paying attention to Swift’s acting career, as he came out to New York City for the U.S. premiere of Cats Monday (Dec. 16). According to E! News, he ditched the red carpet and slipped inside the theater before dashing out at the end of the film with his girlfriend, hand-in-hand.
