Cardi B’s making money moves once more.
The 28-year-old “WAP” rapper seems set to launch her own cosmetics company, having filed to trademark “Bardi Beauty” on April 16, as first reported by TMZ.
Judging by the filing, Cardi’s company could offer makeup, fragrance, skincare and both hair and nail products — in short, all the key categories for a serious celebrity beauty empire.
The Grammy winner’s already left her mark in the fashion space, having teamed up with Reebok, Fashion Nova and Steve Madden, but has yet to put her stamp on beauty.
However, it’s clearly been on her mind; Last month, Cardi said on Instagram that she would be releasing a haircare line later this year after sharing her natural hair journey. And, in 2019 “Entertainment Tonight” interview, she said a future makeup line is “something I wanna do.”
The “Up” hitmaker will have plenty of competition in the space; her pop peers Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Halsey, Jennifer Lopez and Alicia Keys all have their own beauty brands, as do Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian.
