Two people were killed and 18 passengers were injured in a serious traffic accident on the Soke–Milas road this morning after a passenger bus collided with a truck. Among those injured was Okan Oğuz (Okan Oğuz), the brother of Turkish actor Umut Oğuz (Umut Oğuz).
Okan Oğuz, who lives in İzmir, works as a drone operator on the series “He’s Still 17” (Daha 17), which is being filmed in Bodrum. According to the report, he had boarded the passenger bus this morning to travel to the filming location.
Emergency and fire crews rescued the injured passengers from the bus following the collision. Okan Oğuz reportedly suffered multiple fractures and was taken to intensive care before undergoing surgery.
Umut Oğuz was on vacation in Alanya with his son when he received news of the accident. He immediately set out for the scene and later shared details of the situation, explaining that his brother had been trapped inside the bus before being rescued and taken to hospital.
“The Villa Seyahat passenger bus, which my brother Okan Oğuz was also on, collided in Milas with a truck that was stopped on the emergency shoulder of the road. There are people who were killed and injured. They rescued my brother from where he was trapped and took him to the hospital. I am on my way, and it will take me hours to get there. The last information I received was that he is at a hospital in İzmir. If anyone has an acquaintance around Milas, could they contact me?”
Umut Oğuz also posted images from the crash site, drawing attention to the severity of the accident and questioning how the collision occurred.
“How can a passenger bus collide with a truck that was stopped on the emergency shoulder of the road?” he asked.
The accident on the Soke–Milas road left two people dead and 18 passengers injured. Okan Oğuz remains among those injured and was reportedly transferred to intensive care ahead of surgery.
