Harry Potter fans, time to grab your Floo Powder and don your house robes, as the Wizarding World is once again opening its doors!
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter has confirmed it will be re-opening on Thursday 20th August after being forced to close earlier this year due to the pandemic.
Muggles will be once again be able to wander through the sets including Diagon Alley, the vaults in Gringotts, the Gryffindor Common Room and the Hogwarts Great Hall. Along the way, there are heaps of costumes and props to discover, as well as behind-the-scenes secrets.
Oh, and for the first time ever, the Slytherin Common Room will be open for guests to explore – take a sneak peek here to find out what you can expect.
The new addition was due to kick off earlier this year and run until September, but it has now been extended to November to give fans a wider window to discover the Slytherin secrets.
Tickets will be back on sale for the tour on the official website from 1pm on Thursday 6th August, with booking slots available through to the 31st June 2021.
There will of course be new safety measures in place for both wizards and muggles including new social distancing measures and enhanced cleaning.
Other measures will include a reduced capacity to encourage social distancing, as well as additional signs and floor markings to help guide visitors around the tour.
Guests aged 11 and up will be required to wear a face mask/face covering for the duration of their visit, and there will be hand sanitiser stations throughout the tour.
It’s worth noting that some areas may be unavailable in a bid to limit contact – and the shops and cafés will only accept cashless or contactless payment options.
You can read more in their safety measures guide online.
Geoff Spooner, SVP & General Manager, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London says: “We’re thrilled to be able to open the doors to the Hogwarts Great Hall to visitors once again.
“While the Studio Tour experience may differ from previous visits as we introduce additional safety measures , we’re looking forward to welcoming fans back into the world of Harry Potter for a truly magical day out.”
