Richard Madden is reportedly back on the market after splitting with his girlfriend of 18-months, Ellie Bamber.
According to The Sun, Madden, 32, and Bamber, 21, have “argued every day” leading to the split.
A source close to the actor told the paper that “They’re both absolutely gutted but it was a decision made for the best.
“They were arguing almost daily towards the end and, despite considering couples’ therapy, it became evident there were far too many issues that could not be fixed.
“Richard is the toast of Hollywood at the moment, and understandably wants to let his hair down.”
Bamber is described as “a bit quieter” meaning the difference in their lives became “worlds apart.”
She wants to focus on work like her best-known role as Cosette in the”Les Miserables” series.
The insider added that they “hope to remain friends.”
Madden and Bamber were introduced by mutual friends after he dated actress Jenna Coleman.
Last weekend, Madden won Best Actor in a Drama Series at the Golden Globes for his role as David Budd in “Bodyguard.” He thanked his parents in his acceptance speech who flew over to Los Angeles from Scotland but failed to mention Bamber.
