After ending things with what Hailey Bieber once called “a dramatic excommunication” from each other’s lives, Justin Bieber and his now-wife, Hailey, rekindled their romance last June at the VOUS Conference in Miami. This June, the couple returned to the Christian retreat, whose mission is to “encounter God, equip the church, and empower the next generation of leaders.” Elle spotted the two wearing pieces from Justin’s Drew clothing line at the event over the weekend. “Negative things happened that we still need to talk about and work through,” Hailey said of their breakup in an interview with Vogue for the magazine’s February issue. “The common denominator, I promise you, is always church,” she explained. “By then we were past the drama. I just gave him a hug. By the end of the conference, he was like, ‘We’re not going to be friends.’ I was like, ‘We’re not?'” They were engaged less than a month later.
