Simon Cowell has reportedly told Amanda Holden not to fret as her role in ITV is completely secure.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge is in the middle of a spat with Phillip Schofield, following reports he stopped her from filling in for Holly Willoughby on This Morning.
Holly stepped away from the role late last year to cover Ant McPartlin’s hosting role for the last season of I’m A Celeb.
The talent show mogul has come to Amanda’s aid in the supposed feud.
He said that he felt he had a responsibility to make sure Amanda felt that she had job security and admitted he ‘doesn’t tolerate bullies.’
Rumours were swirling in the aftermath that Amanda would lose her job in ITV.
Simon told the Mirror, ‘People were calling me to ask if Amanda was getting fired, so I called her to say no.’
Before going onto say, ‘I don’t tolerate bullies in the work place. I prevent it. I see it happening and I stop it.’
‘Of course we are anti-bullying. We have a zero tolerance policy.’
Simon was crystal clear that Amanda would return to Britain’s Got Talent ,adding that her spat with someone else wouldn’t affect his relationship with Amanda.
Amanda was eager to fill in for Holly Willoughby on the morning show. However, Phillip reportedly lobbied for Rochelle Humes to step into the role instead.
Of course, Rochelle did end up getting the role.
Phillip spoke out over ‘hurtful and untrue’ details of his increasingly acrimonious relationship with BGT judge Amanda last month.
He wrote on Twitter, ‘The end of another really sad weekend. When you try for 35 years to be the easiest, most fun person to work with and you read such hurtful and wildly untrue stories from nameless “sources”.’
‘Obviously I’ll take it on the chin.. I just hope you know me better.’
