Lady Gaga urges people to vote with midriff baring snap.. as she joins Tracee Ellis Ross and Kerry Washington in reminding fans to make their voices heard
Lady Gaga has long used her voice and her platform to speak up about the issues closest to her heart.
And the 11-time Grammy winner has recently been taking to social media to urge her fans to use their own voices in the upcoming election.
She revealed Sunday that she almost signed her staged name on her mail-in ballot, as she warned her 44.6million Instagram followers not to make the same mistake, while getting out the vote.
The 34-year-old posted a gorgeous smiling selfie in a white knit laced-up bralette, which put her toned tummy on display.
She wrote: ‘Happy Sunday! I’m sending love, and a friendly reminder that your signature on your mail-in ballot needs to match your signature on file with your state.
‘When I have to sign legal documents, I repeat Stefani Germanotta over and over quietly in my head so I don’t accidentally sign as Lady Gaga.
‘I’m going to avoid that mistake and make sure my vote is counted. Head to Vote.org to get all of the vote by mail rules, deadlines, and other info listed state-by-state.
Gaga previously posted a video of herself making some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, packing them in brown paper bags that spelled out ‘feedthepolls.org,’ set to her 2008 song Telephone with Beyoncé.
She wrote: ‘Make sure you’re poll ready for a fun time in line to vote, because it might be a long one! I’m going to make PB&J sandwiches for my voting snack!
‘Make sure to pack your own snacks, and go to feedthepolls.org or @pizzatothepolls to learn how to donate to help feed people in line!’
Tracee Ellis Ross, 47, also took to Instagram with a glowing selfie, as she held up her ‘I voted’ sticker to her cheek.
She wrote: ‘TFW you make your voting plan and stick to it. yup, she voted y’all! Who else voted already? Tag me in your posts and stories of you with your “I Voted” sticker and I’ll share some in my Story! #whenweallvote’
Kerry Washington, 43, shared some photos to Instagram from Saturday, as she spoke at a Biden/Harris rally in Durham, North Carolina.
She wrote: ‘Holy moly. I love you North Carolina. Yesterday Nnamdi and I met with volunteers canvassing for @joebiden and @kamalaharris, local leaders from @NCDemocrats, local voters, poll workers, and small business owners in the state.
‘I’m soooo inspired by each and every one of you for using your voice and participating in this democracy! And for voting! And especially for voting EARLY. You have the power to save this democracy. For all of us. This election is just so important. Every vote matters. 16 days!!!!! #VoteEarly’
The Emmy winner posted some selfies with fans and volunteers, also sharing a video of her speech at the socially-distanced event.
She referenced her Scandal character in the clip, telling the crowd: ‘Olivia Pope cannot fill out her census. Olivia Pope cannot register to vote.
‘Olivia Pope cannot vote early. Olivia Pope cannot call her friends and family and drag them to the polls. You can do that. You can fix this. You are more powerful than she is.’
Chelsea Handler, 45, posted a photo of herself to Instagram in a black t-shirt, printed in pink with: ‘I am a voter.’
She wrote: ‘This election is about showing up for the people in this country who are treated differently because of their skin color.
‘It’s about saying no to white supremacy and yes to women, non-binary, trans, all people of color and saying yes to democracy and yes to freedom, because this is the election where we can finally choose to become the America we’ve always had the potential to be.’
Michelle Pfeiffer, 62, posted a screenshot to her Insta Story of a notification, informing her that her mail-in ballot was counted, writing: ‘Keeping track of my VOTE!’
