Miley Cyrus has one less challenge ahead of her as she begins the process of rebuilding the Malibu home she shared with Liam Hemsworth that burned down in the Woolsey Fire. According to The Blast, a woman who was suing Miley for allegedly stealing her song, “J’s On My Feet ft Fleetwood” and turning it into the hit, “23 (J’s On My Feet)” has dropped the lawsuit. The plaintiff, Yella the Triple Threat, whose real name is Ariella Asher, originally wanted an injunction against Miley and her collaborators on the song, Wiz Khalifa, Juicy Jay and Mike Will. In court documents, Ariella reportedly claimed Miley recorded the song to “reinvent her musical career from child star to the edgier, urban, and adult performer she is today.” Ariella felt she deserved a songwriting credit and thousands of dollars in damages in addition to the injunction. On Nov. 14, however, she reportedly dropped the whole suit and dismissed the remaining claims against Miley. Miley, meanwhile, is still reeling from the destruction of her house as California’s wildfires continue to burn.
