News Anchors Duck For Cover, Celebs React When Southern California Hit With Biggest Earthquake In 20 Years
Southern California was hit by its second earthquake in two days, with a 6.9 magnitude quake hitting on Friday, the biggest quake in more than 20 years.
The epicentre of the quake was in Northridge, about 150 miles north of Los Angeles, and was more powerful than the 6.7 quake that shook the city in 1994.
A Los Angeles news broadcast was airing live as the quake hit, leading to a frightening on-air moment (above) that left the anchors shaken both literally and figuratively as one of them sought shelter underneath the anchor desk.
Meanwhile, celebs throughout L.A. took to social media to comment about the big quake.
