Katherine Langford’s deleted Avengers: Endgame scene has finally been unveiled on Disney’s new streaming service Disney+.
The 13 Reasons Why actress was revealed to have an unspecified role in the film a few months before its release, leading to fan confusion when she failed to make an appearance in the final theatrical cut.
It was eventually explained by Avengers: Endgame directors the Russo brothers that Katherine had filmed scenes as a teenage version of Iron Man’s (Robert Downey Jr) daughter Morgan after Tony was transported to the metaphysical world following his Infinity Gauntlet snap, but the scene had been cut from the final edit.
Never fear though, since fans can now watch the scene on Disney+.
The two-minute-long scene is titled ‘Director’s Commentary: Tony at The Way Station’, and sees a grown-up version of Morgan Stark talking with Tony inside the Soul Stone.
In the scene, Tony asks Morgan if his sacrifice worked, and she said it worked for her as she got to live.
Tony then reveals he’s scared and thinks he’s made a bad decision, but Morgan reassures him, explaining that she’s proud of how he saved everyone.
he scene ends with Tony whispering: “I love you 3,000.” Obviously.
While it may have been a very smart move for Disney+ to unveil this much speculated about deleted scene, Marvel hasn’t got everything quite right on the new streamer.
(Although it has added more MCU movies to its launch at the last minute, which is handy.)
