Jennifer Aniston’s guest-hosting duties on “Ellen” on Thursday, Jan. 23, left viewers with a little taste of what the “Morning Show” star’s friendship with Selena Gomez is all about. Selena kicked the conversation off by gushing about her “Friends” superfandom and how much she loved Jen’s character, Rachel Green. “You’ve always been so sweet,” Jen said. “You really are a genuine fan. It’s amazing. We’ve known each other for years. You’ve been to my house. We’ve had pizza. Girl after my own heart, do we love a pizza or what? We love a pizza.” Selena agreed about the pizza, then recounted how the two met. “Well, nobody knew who I was, and you were in the bathroom, wearing a black dress,” the singer recalled, according to Elle. Joking about her black dress affinity, Jen joked, “OK, weird,” as Selena got back to her story. “And I think we were at Vanity Fair something event, and I was there with my mom, and I walked into the bathroom and I saw you, and you were just like so nice,” Selena said. “You just walked out of the bathroom and you were going back, and my heart like, stopped. And I freaked out and I ran to my mom and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I just saw Jennifer Aniston.’ I was like, ‘Oh my god.'” Having recalled some of the meeting’s details, Jen asked, “Did I say hello? Did we have a pleasantry? [I was] washing my hands, I hope.” That sparked Selena to tell her apparent TV idol, “Yeah, you were fine. You were everything that I wanted.”
