And Katy Perry has admitted she has been battling ‘waves of depression‘ as she copes with the ongoing health crisis afflicting the world.

‘Sometimes I don’t know what’s worse trying to avoid the virus or the waves of depression that come with this new norm,’ the pop star, 35, tweeted on Tuesday.

Katy’s confession was met with an outpouring of support from her concerned fans, who urged her to remain strong amid the uncertain times. 

‘We love you so much. We’re together in this,’ a fan account tweeted to her.

‘OMG PLS STAY POSITIVE WE ARE HERE FOR YOU,’ another fan wrote.

‘your music is the only thing getting me through it,’ wrote another supporter, along with a flower emoji .

One fan reminded Katy she was expecting a daughter with fiance Orlando Bloom.

‘Just remember the little light of your life will be in your arms soon,’ wrote the Twitter user.

Katy has been honest with fans about her mental health struggles.

Reflecting on a particularly tough period between 2017 and 2018, Katy admitted that she struggled to get out of bed.

‘I’ve never had a partner who was willing to go on an emotional and spiritual journey like Orlando. It’s challenging, because you’re facing all the things you don’t like about yourself. It’s like a never-ending cleanse.

The pop star recently announced she will be releasing a new single entitled Daisies on May 15, even sparking speculation it would be a collaboration with her former archrival Taylor Swift.

She also shared a humorous clip of her ultrasound scan, which showed her unborn child appearing to swear at her.
