Justin Verlander Emotionally Confesses Kate Upton Saved His Life Amid Horrible Depression – She Stopped Me ‘From Jumping Off A Bridge’

While dealing with a horrible depression caused by his baseball stats that were getting worse and worse and multiple surgeries, Justin Verlander was in such a dark place that he even contemplated suicide! Fortunately, however, Kate Upton pretty much saved his life.

According to the man, if she was not with him, he may have been dead today.

During an interview with Bleacher Report today, Verlander opened up about the difficult time he went through and how ‘instrumental’ his wife was in helping him get better.

‘Who knows if I’m even here if it wasn’t for her? She was instrumental in me not…like, jumping off a bridge. I was depressed and kind of just upset at the world and trying to hide my own sh*t,’ he told the outlet.

As fans of the sportsman may remember, back in 2013, a groin injury turned out to be the least of his concerns when it led to a core muscle injury in his abdominal muscles being discovered.

The said problem needed a bilateral sports hernia surgery.

And his bad luck did not end there. In 2014, the baseball star risked a shoulder procedure that could have ended his career.

Obviously still affected by the memories, Justin’s voice started to break when he told the interviewer: ‘I really thought it was the end. F**k, man. She was what I needed.’

It’s amazing how vulnerable and raw Justin was about their beautiful love and the hardships it helped him overcome.

‘I don’t like to talk to people about being hurt. As athletes, you’re not supposed to. It’s an excuse…But she was someone I could talk to. Somebody I could trust with…worries about my career. Worries about, Can I make it? Worries about what I’m going through to get back. And just the overall sh*ttiness of it all.’
