How Britney Spears Celebrated A ‘Simple’Christmas With Her 2 Sons Ahead Of TheHoliday
Britney Spears, 39, shared an early Christmas this year with her sons Jayden James, 14, and Sean Preston, 15. “Britney had an extremely nice and relaxing and restful bonding time with her boys earlier this week,” a source told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. “Britney gave gifts to them for them to open on Christmas,” they added.
The family of three kept their holiday easy this year and it sounds like that’s just how she wanted it! “Most of the time together was spent hanging out with each other and talking and just having family time,” the source added. “Watching TV and eating. Just simple things that families do.”
The pop star shares her two boys with her ex husband, Kevin Federline, 42. The two began dating in April 2004 and married in a surprise wedding ceremony in September of that year. Britney found herself pregnant with her first child by April 2005. The couple split by November 2006, but both parents have remained involved with sons Sean and Jayden.
The former couples boys live primarily with their father as their mother has been under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears, 68, as she’s sought treatment for her mental health. But Britney is trying to take things under her own control of her $60M empire and have her father removed. According to court documents obtained by HollywoodLife, Jamie continues to try to remain in protection of his daughter from “those with self-serving interests” and the two have since become estranged. Britney fired back saying this was a “blatant attempt by James to retain full functional control of her assets, books and records in the face of Britney’s objections, Tristar’s resignation and the appointment of Bessemer Trust.”
The gathering seems just to be what Britney needed and there was no other way she wanted to close out 2020. “Britney was just ecstatic to be around them and the boys had a great time as well,” the source said. “It is never an issue when they spend time with each other, and it was one of those things that Britney was happy to end the year with seeing her kids. Really made her smile.”
