Despite her seemingly ageless appearance, Christie Brinkley is very much aware of the passage of time.
This week, the 65-year-old supermodel shared a throwback People cover from April 1994, that
detailed the events surrounding a helicopter crash she nearly died in 25 years ago.
“Not a day goes by that I have not counted my blessing for being alive,” she captioned the post (via Page Six).
“I know for a fact that tomorrow is not a guarantee and that each day is a gift and an opportunity
to make sure that everybody we love knows it!” The accident reportedly took place on a
mountain in Telluride, Colorado, where Christie and five others were trapped for
hours following the crash. Christie managed to escape with only minor injuries,
though the People cover shows she was still wearing a splint on her wrist for the photo shoot.
