‘She’s accepted that she’s not going to have a baby naturally’: Nicole Kidman ‘is planning to adopt a son with husband Keith Urban’ as the couple are ‘yearning to be parents again’
She’s spoken candidly about her desire to expand her brood in recent years.
And Nicole Kidman’s dreams may soon become a reality, with an unconfirmed report claiming she and husband Keith Urban have decided to adopt their first child together.
According to Woman’s Day magazine, the A-lister couple are ‘over the moon’ with their decision, as ‘neither of them could shift their sense of yearning to become parents again’.
‘Neither of them are getting any younger, and [Nicole has] accepted that she’s not going to have a baby naturally at her age, so adoption seemed like the right path,’ the source claimed.
While the couple- who are parents to Sunday 11, and Faith, eight- are open to welcoming another daughter, Keith has always wondered life would be like with son, the magazine alleges.
Nicole is no stranger to the adoption process, having welcomed children Isabella, 26, and Connor, 24, via adoption with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Sunday was conceived naturally while Faith was born via a surrogate.
The Big Little Lies actress has always been extremely candid about her struggles to conceive, telling The Mail on Sunday in 2017: ‘We went through a surrogacy with my second daughter because we wanted another child so much that it hurt.’
On her plans to have more children, Nicole said at the time: ‘I still have the faintest hope that something may happen to me this year. Keith and I would love to have more babies.’
‘My grandmother gave birth to my mother at 49. I would be beyond happy and just welcome it with open arms.’
Meanwhile, Nicole has had plenty of experience playing mother to her on-screen twin sons in Big Little Lies, played by eight-year-old Cameron and Nicholas Crovet.
