Jennifer Garner stumps for quality child care and education in Vermont and D.C.

When she’;s not acting, filming her IG cooking show or being a mom to three kids, Jennifer Garner can often be found advocating for better access to child care and early education as a board member of the Save the Children Action Network. She went full steam ahead in that role this week at events in Vermont on Washington, DC. Speaking to local politicians, other parents and concerned community members at the Robin’s Nest Children’s Center in Burlington, Vermont, on Thursday, Feb. 21, Jen marveled at the “bipartisan support” the center has when it comes to getting day care for lower income moms. “The kids benefit because these kids are going to go to kindergarten and hit the ground running,” she said, according to MyChamplainValley.com (via JustJared). “I’ve seen kids all over this country in my work with Save the Children who are going into kindergarten and have never held a book,” the actress noted. “There’s only 1 book for every 13 kids in poor America.”
