Sarah Ferguson is in full support of Meghan Markle’s latest venture, despite having Piers Morgan’s back after the anchor railed against Markle’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Ferguson, 61, congratulated Markle, 39, on her new children’s book, “The Bench,” telling The Daily Mail, “To sit down and work hard to write a book, in any genre, should be supported and respected.”
An author herself, Fergie has written over 70 titles and went on to praise Markle and other women who tap into their creativity for a noble cause.
“To encourage literacy in general not just children’s books, is a love of mine and to encourage more women to delve into their creative selves and get a book out is very well done,” she said.
Last month, Morgan, 56, claimed Prince Andrew’s ex-wife sent him supportive text messages after he refused to apologize to the Duchess of Sussex for his incendiary comments, leading to his resignation from “Good Morning Britain.”
“Not all Royal duchesses were as thrilled as Meghan ‘Pinocchio’ Markle to see me leave GMB,” he wrote. “‘People have said how much they miss your morning joy and humour,’ texted Sarah, Duchess of York, ‘get back out there!’”

Morgan also joked about possibly teaming up with Fergie to host a new show together.
“Perhaps we should start a new breakfast show together … ‘Morgy and Fergie in the Morning’, anyone?” he wrote.
As for Markle’s book, Piers believes its subject matter is “beyond parody.”
“Ms. Markle proudly informed us that her debut literary tome captures ‘the warmth, joy and comfort of the relationship between fathers and sons from all walks of life.’
“I wonder how much these touching sentiments will resonate with her own family, or her husband’s?”
